The story
Galactic Junkrod
Hard Rock / Sleaze Punk blending Mötley Crüe, Motörhead, Led Zeppelin, The Ramones and Zodiac Mindwarp into a no-rules, have-fun style of rock ’n’ roll.
It began in Milwaukee when Jonny, a seasoned bass player, picked up rhythm guitar and lifelong drummer Ricki switched to bass. Joey arrived to drive the band on drums, Dean brought the songs to life out front, and Chomp completed the original lineup on lead guitar.

After a few rehearsals, the band recorded its first EP, Lick’em if They Can’t Take a Joke!
As the members later scattered across the country, the next chapter became a long-distance project. Jonny and Joey remained in Wisconsin, Dean relocated to California, and Ricki moved to Arizona. With Chomp unavailable, Milwaukee native and close friend Bobby joined on lead guitar.
Using home studios and the Internet, Jonny and Ricki built riffs, Dean and Ricki shaped lyrics, and the entire band tracked across state lines. The result was Glitter Squirtn’ Hemi.
